We have Map Quiz 2 this Thursday. All information and review materials are located on Schoology.
This week we will continue to discuss population and migration with a focus on governmental policy.
Students should begin the research for the infographic project which is due on Oct. 4th on Schoology. Students will only get 2 days in class to work on the project. Students will need to do some work outside of class.
On Monday we will review for your rhetorical devices test on Tuesday by playing review games. On Wednesday, I will be introducing the multiple choice section of the AP exam, along with strategies and reading comprehension practice. This will be great practice for many other classes, as well as college entry exams such as the SAT. We will read two non-fiction passages this week and complete the answers that accompany the passages individually and collaboratively.
You have your Animal Farm test on Tuesday, so you have Monday’s class time to complete the study guide that you created on Friday and I will be available to answer any questions. Wednesday-Friday we will be discussing the various layers of gender and politics and you will be completing a cross-disciplinary activity with Ms. Ashley for math.

Line is one of the seven elements of art. It is considered by most to be the most basic element of art.
In terms of art, line is considered to be a moving dot. It has an endless number of uses in the creation of art.
Line can control an viewer’s eye. It can describe edges. It can indicate form as well as movement. It can also indicate value and a light source in drawing.
AP students have concluded drawing their Line Project sketch they will now begin to add value using pigment liners as a medium.
Students will be creating composition using lines and pigment lines as a medium.
